Our coaches generally use a combination of NLP (Neuro -Linguistic Programming) and Clean Language. Some also incorporate (WRAP) Wellness Recovery Action Planning and Hypnotherapy.
Each coach will ensure that the sessions are dedicated completely to what you want to get from them and each coaching session will be conducted in a very safe and comfortable way that also allows you to move forward.
Coaching should be an enjoyable experience and the relationship between you and your coach is very important. They will safely challenge and encourage you by asking insightful and empowering questions and even bring some appropriate humour into the sessions if that fits with you. They will also teach you some fantastic tools and techniques that will enable you to let go of past experiences and move on in the way that you want to.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was co-founded by John Grinder and Richard Bandler with the aim of bringing about personal development. It’s the study and practice of how we think (Neuro), how we communicate both verbally and non-verbally (Linguistic) and how we react to external and internal stimuli, generating a particular behaviour or pattern (Programming).
NLP is a multi-dimensional process that involves the development of behavioural competence and flexibility and also involves strategic thinking plus an understanding of the mental and cognitive processes behind behaviour. NLP provides tools and skills for the development of states of individual excellence.
Using the tools and techniques within NLP we can reprogram less useful behaviours, to new and more beneficial responses that create the change we want. We can challenge and rid ourselves of limiting beliefs that hold us back and reconnect with, and learn, new powerful personal resources that allow us to be who we want to be. NLP is also a fantastic way to understand how we interrelate with others as well as gain clarity for the future and define how we get there.
Clean Language is a simple set of questions developed by counselling psychologist David Grove and is a technique that is often in therapy and coaching as well as business, health and education. Clean Language helps a client discover and develop solutions and metaphors without being influenced by the phrasing of a question. These questions are used with a person’s own words to direct their attention to some aspect of their own experience. Our coaches are able to ask these questions in the right way in order for you to obtain interesting new insight or the recognition of some new way forward.
WRAP is an evidence based ‘self-management’ tool that essentially helps people plan for and maintain good emotional wellbeing/mental health. WRAP is an extremely flexible tool and supports people to effectively take control of and manage their own outcomes.
The WRAP approach helps to build confidence, analyse and eliminate negative thought patterns and structure lifestyles in a way that promotes wellness.
You coach will discuss this with you as this depends on what outcome you want from your coaching. Everyone is unique and will make changes at their own pace, one thing to know though is that if you are 100% committed then the techniques and tools used mean that you will notice results very quickly!
For specific isolated problems, most clients resolve their issues in anything between one to six sessions. People that are having coaching for goals and life changes many benefit from a more long-term relationship with a break between each session.
Our coaching is about moving forward. We deal with past issues by recognising them and then letting them go. so they no longer control you. We look at any important aspects of the past from a very safe place where you can step back from the emotion of the situations and do not have to experience them. This is unlike other therapies where you ay be regressed or talk about past painful experiences so that you have to relive that situation again.
Although we do spend time allowing you to talk, our sessions are solution focussed and do not need to go over and over a previous situation or experience. We enable you to take any learnings that are appropriate from the experience and thus be able to behave differently or no longer allow the past experience to negatively affect you.
Should you firstly feel you need to gain learnings from your past or let go of emotions and limiting decisions, we can help you gently revisit your past without having to feel the emotions and relive the experiences.

Your free initial consultation will be on the phone with your chosen or dedicated coach and will give you both a chance to assess whether you would like to work together and how the coaching will help you. If you wish to book a coaching sessions, your coach will ask you some questions so that they can ensure that they plan a coaching program that is tailored to you.
They may give you some easy to apply techniques and information over the phone which will mean that your developmental journey will begin even before your first session!

We try to be as accommodating as possible. However, if you are running late it may not be possible to extend your session as the coach may have another client after you.
We require 48 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment. An alternative appointment will be offered to you at this time. If we receive less than 48 hours’ notice payment for the full fee for that session is required and a replacement appointment will be chargeable at the agreed rates.
